Holiday barn De Zwaluw (The Swallow) is a charming holiday residence, located in the heart of ‘de Kempen’. It’s the perfect place to enjoy peace, nature, family and friends.

The barn was transformed in 2017 into a comfortable holiday home for 6 to 11 people.

Enjoying a glass of wine at the long wooden table or on the terrace while the children experience adventures in their tree house or amuse themselves with games from the toy cabinet? Anything goes!

WALKING

From the garden you step right into nature. We are happy to help you with your walking tour planning. Take a look at www.visitkasterlee.be for tips. Various hiking maps are available in the holiday barn.

CYCLING

The holiday barn is located near cycling node 30 and 31. You can plan your route yourself on www.fietsnet.be and don’t hesitate having a look at www.visitkasterlee.be for some theme routes.
For the more adventurous people there’s the extensive mountain bike trail. This trail runs through the forest that borders the garden of the house.

PLAYING

Children can have great fun in the large, enclosed garden with tree house. Meanwhile the parents enjoy a drink on the terrace. Even in case of bad weather there’s a lot to do: a football table, a spacious living room with play corner and a large toy cabinet.

SLEEPING

2 retrocaravans, a hayloft and a caravan: sleeping has never been more fun. No single bedroom can be called average…

WINE TASTING

It’s still a long way off, but in the spring of 2018 the first vines were planted. You’ll be able to enjoy our homemade wine within a few years.

ENJOYING

The spacious living room and large garden ensure that you can enjoy it in any season. Got bored while relaxing? In the area there are many activities such as kayaking, hiking, cycling, an amusement park trip, a visit to a goat farm… The local catering industry leaves nothing to be desired. Some businesses are easily accessible on foot or by bike.
